About the Work
Bon Appétit stages a speculative dining scene in which an image of raw steak is served on an iPad in place of food. Set against the familiar red gingham tablecloth, the screen interrupts the remembered ritual of the family table, while cutlery and an oversized knife remain poised for a meal that cannot be eaten.
The steak carries associations of appetite, flesh, luxury, violence and masculine power. Yet the tools of hunting and consumption have become ceremonial: the knife is present, but there is nothing to cut. A hand pours wine with the elegance of service, preserving the choreography of hospitality while obscuring the absence at its centre. The work asks what is truly being served when representation replaces substance, and whether power survives when the origins of nourishment, labour and violence have been rendered invisible. Its title becomes an ironic invitation to consume an image of abundance.

Shipping, Packaging and Returns
Delivery Complimentary tracked worldwide shipping is included in the listed price.
Each edition is produced to order, hand-signed and numbered by the artist, and expected to dispatch within four to five weeks. Once dispatched, delivery times vary according to destination and customs processing. Tracking information will be provided by email, and each shipment is insured while in transit.
Packaging Each 50 × 40 cm unframed edition is shipped carefully rolled, never folded. The printed surface is protected with acid-free glassine and archival tissue before being placed inside a rigid, crush-resistant mailing tube with secure end caps and protective outer packaging.
This method helps protect the cotton paper and printed surface from abrasion, moisture and movement during transit. For best results, the edition should be carefully unpacked and allowed to relax flat before framing, preferably with the assistance of a professional framer.
Taxes and Import Duties The listed price includes complimentary worldwide shipping and is tax-inclusive where applicable. International orders may be subject to import duties, VAT, GST, customs-clearance charges or local courier handling fees imposed by the destination country. These charges are not included in the purchase price and remain the responsibility of the collector. Returns As each edition is produced to order, change-of-mind returns are not accepted, subject to applicable consumer law.
If an edition arrives damaged or defective, contact the studio promptly with photographs of the artwork and packaging so that a replacement or appropriate resolution can be arranged.
